Services
LASIK Surgery
LASIK corrects refractive errors using precision laser technology. Our FDA-approved procedures treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism through corneal reshaping. Custom options include topography-guided treatments and blade-free flap creation. Ideal candidates with stable vision achieve 20/20 clarity within 24 hours post-op through our streamlined recovery protocols.
Cataract Surgery
Custom cataract removal replaces clouded natural lenses with advanced intraocular implants. Our surgeons utilize real-time measurement technology (ORA with VerifEye) for precise IOL selection. Premium options correct astigmatism and presbyopia, reducing dependency on glasses. Most patients resume normal activities within 48 hours with significantly improved visual acuity.
Dry Eye Treatment
Diagnosis employs LipiView analysis and TearLab osmolarity testing to identify deficiency types. Treatment plans combine prescription medications, thermal pulsation therapy, and lifestyle modifications. For severe cases, punctal occlusion procedures enhance tear retention while maintaining ocular surface health through structured maintenance protocols.
EVO ICL Surgery
EVO ICL provides permanent vision correction for high myopia through collagen copolymer lens implantation. This reversible alternative to laser surgery corrects prescriptions up to -18 diopters with minimal recovery time. Preoperative biometry ensures optimal sizing while haptic design maintains stable positioning within the anterior chamber.
Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive lens exchange removes aging natural lenses before cataract formation occurs. Multifocal and toric IOLs address presbyopia and astigmatism simultaneously. This proactive solution prevents future cataract development while providing lifelong visual freedom through precision intraocular technology.

The staff and doctor were absolutely amazing! So friendly so helpful and so informative! I will refer them forever! I went in for a consultation and was in for my lasik surgery 2 weeks later! It was a quick and painless process and my recovery has been great! I am so grateful to them! Because of them I can now see without my glasses and contacts and my life is forever changed for the better

I cannot thank Dr. Wolsey enough for my now contact-less and frameless lifestyle. I have been dreaming of this day for 22 years and she gave me the reassurance to finally go through with it from the very beginning at our consultation. I also want to thank Dr. Carter for having taken care of me for one of the post-operative follow-up. Both doctors were wonderful at their craft as well as extremely pleasant to work with. I also want to thank each and every office staff and assistant I have worked with as each of you played a huge role in making me feel right at home in your facilities from the start.

My husband & I both had cataract surgery, 6 years apart at The Eye Institute, by Dr Wolsey. I want to thank every person from the sweet ladies at the front desk to the techs who were so caring when I felt anxious prior to surgery.and of course Dr Wolsey who answered all my questions and did my surgery. All were wonderful!

This is my only one star review. More than a year after my Corneal cross-linking surgery they sent me a bill for $4500, more than 4 times what they initially stated the cost would be and on top of what I had already paid. The doctors are good but the billing department is completely incompetent. My insurance will cover the procedure I received but they weren't willing to submit the claim in accordance with the guidelines set by my insurer.

I am over the moon right now. I had RLE surgery on my left eye this week and will have the same next week on my left eye. Staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and efficient. Dr. Z is professional, friendly, informative, and very capable! I feel safe at The Eye Institute of Utah. Before, during, and after the surgery, I was treated very well. This place operates like a well-oiled machine. Everyone knew their role and worked hand-in-glove. Very impressive!

The eye surgery went fine, but the office gave me a bill without telling me even though I checked with every appointment. They stated the follow up appointments were free. They stated they sent me a bill and texted me but nothing has been sent to my house and I never received a text. They sent my bill to collections which complete destroyed my credit and any chance I had at buying a house that I've been saving up for for the past couple of years. Thanks Eye Institute of Utah for destroying my dreams over 92 measly dollars. Super cool.

The quality of service provided is exceptional! All information was clearly explained and questions were answered thoroughly. Coming into this office was a refreshing experience as it was very evident how much the patient's time is valued. Although brief, the time spent in the waiting area was very accommodating and even aesthetically pleasant. The screenings are done efficiently, so one is in and out in a speedy yet efficient manner. The transparency in price and quick availability of appointments for the actual surgery makes this medical entity an ideal place to trust for our eye service needs.
