Services
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty rejuvenates tired or sagging eyes by removing excess skin, muscle, and fat from upper or lower lids. Ideal for correcting puffiness, droopiness, and vision obstruction, this procedure enhances facial alertness. Patients achieve brighter, more rested appearances with incisions hidden in natural creases.
Lipostructure
Lipostructure restores facial volume using harvested fat to address age-related loss or trauma-induced defects. It improves skin elasticity and contours, offering long-lasting results. Common areas include cheeks, hands, and under-eye hollows, with minimal downtime required.
Facelift
A facelift tightens sagging facial skin and deep tissues to reduce jowls and neck laxity. Incisions follow hairlines and ear contours for discreet scarring. Results include smoother, firmer skin and a youthful profile with recovery spanning weeks.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose to improve proportion and correct breathing issues. Techniques adjust cartilage, bone, and nostril width for balanced aesthetics. Recovery involves swelling reduction, with final results visible after several months.
Liposuction
Liposuction removes stubborn fat deposits from areas like the abdomen, thighs, and arms. Using small incisions, it enhances body definition where diet and exercise fall short. Patients enjoy smoother contours and quicker recovery compared to surgical lifts.

Questions
What is Blepharoplasty and who is a good candidate?
Blepharoplasty corrects sagging eyelids or under-eye bags. Ideal candidates seek to improve vision obstruction or achieve a rested appearance through excess skin and fat removal.
How does Lipostructure differ from traditional fillers?
Lipostructure uses your own harvested fat for long-lasting volume restoration, unlike synthetic fillers. It enhances skin elasticity and addresses facial or body contour deficits naturally.
What recovery time is needed for a facelift?
Facelift recovery typically requires 2-3 weeks for swelling to subside, with final results visible after several months. Most patients resume normal activities within 10 days.
Is Rhinoplasty covered by insurance?
Functional rhinoplasty addressing breathing issues may be partially covered. Cosmetic revisions are generally not covered—consult your provider for specific policy details.
What areas can Liposuction target?
Liposuction effectively contours the abdomen, flanks, hips, thighs, upper arms, and neck, removing localized fat resistant to diet and exercise for smoother body shaping.

I have been a Jelks patient for 30 years. I am 80 years old. I had a facelift and an eye lift plus several fat transfer procedures which produce great and in my case long lasting results. I am about to get another one. . The doctor aims for a natural look. That is what I wanted and that is what I got. He is a highly experienced eye surgeon, widely recognized as one of the best. I had a face lift 30 years ago and it is just now, at age 80, beginning to need some jazzing up.
I had an eye lift 30 years ago and I am thinking I might want a tune up. Eye surgery is known to last may be 7 years. I have no idea why one of the reviewers is complaining about Dr. Jelks fixing the dreaded "elevens: between the eye brows. It is a simple procedure and it wipes years off of your face forever. I guess a plastic surgeon cannot please everyone. I am one pleased patient.

Stay away from him please! Its been two years since my fat injections from my stomach. My eyes will never be the same again. I still carry lumps that show up anywhere around my eyes. I wear sunglasses all the time. I looked better before he touched me. This is just an update.

The BEST in the business! Dr. Jelks is a a brilliant surgeon who is honest, warm and caring with a fantastic bedside manner. I have gotten a few procedures by Dr. Jelks and I wouldn't trust anyone else. A true professional in every sense of the word. His nurses and entire staff are wonderful and his Park Avenue townhouse office is absolutely beautiful to boot.

I went to Dr. G. Jelks for blepharoplasty several years ago, but while talking about the surgery I told him I had lots of stress between my eyebrows - something one normally gets botox for. He suggested that he could cut the muscle at the front of each eyebrow and that would take away the stress. He NEVER told me that would cause those clipped muscles to roll up like window shades and leave scars - actually valleys - in my forehead.
So now I two troughs running straight up from my eyebrows to my hairline! I had to cut bangs to cover them. Even worse, the troughs are getting worse as the years go by! So while Dr. Jelks did an excellent job on my eye lift, he scared me forever by doing a procedure he should NEVER have done. I honestly don't think he knew what he was doing at all in this regard. I talked to other doctors afterwards and they said Jelks should never have done this procedure, because it always causes the window shade effect. I tried to see him several times after the troughs started appearing. He would never see me, never talk to me about it or if it could be fixed.
