Dr. Klapper completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University earning a Phi Beta Kappa while in Bloomington, Indiana. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine with Honors and as a member of the AOA Honor Society.

Dr. Klapper firmly believes that staying active in the field of ophthalmology and particularly his subspecialty of oculoplastic surgery helps him understand and offer the best possible techniques to each of his patients.
