Dr. Michael Echavez received his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, and his medical degree from UC San Francisco. Following medical school, Dr. Echavez remained at UCSF to complete two years of general surgery and four years of head and neck surgery residency training. He subsequently completed a year of specialized fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Cincinnati, through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.Dr. Echavez is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Recontructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
