Services
Dr. Grimes uses multiple approaches for the treatment of acne to slow its severity and prevent additional scarring. Vitiligo is a disorder that is yet to be fully understood but can be treated through several different therapies. The Botulinum toxin is the only FDA-approved treatment of its type to smooth moderate to severe frown lines.
The Katalaya Peel is a unique proprietary blend of chemical ingredients. It is used to treat acne, melasma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, textural changes and aging skin. This procedure is the most popular resurfacing procedure performed at the Institute. It offers substantial improvement with minimal downtime. Dramatic results are achieved in the majority of patients treated.
Injectable filler gels are inserted under your skin to instantly restore its volume and smooth away facial folds and wrinkles. Fillers are particularly effective at eliminating nasolabial folds, also known as "smile lines" or "parentheses:" the creases that run from the corners of your mouth to the bottom of your nose.
Nonablative laser and light treatments (other equivalent terms include subsurface resurfacing, photo rejuvenation, and laser toning) have been used for the aesthetic improvement of photoaged skin, acne and scarring. These treatments provide an alternative to traditional full-face laser resurfacing, an ablative modality in which carbon dioxide and/or erbium: YAG lasers are used to remove the entire epidermis and portions of the dermis. It is effective in all skin types.

Dr. Grimes is always thorough and takes her time catching up with me. Always kind and more than anything, Dr. Grimes is the best at what she does. My other dermatologist lacked Dr. Grimes knowledge. Thankful to have found the help I had been seeking.

I went to Dr. Grimes office two months ago for treatment for Malasma. Consulted with Dr. Grimes and from the moment she looked at my face I felt very positive. She said in her very cherry voice "we can fix that for you". Had photos taken, she formulated a skin care which was for my problem, cleanser, lighter, etc, it has improved my skin tone and faded most of the Malasma. I return for a third visit in two weeks (July 2018) I am very pleased with the outcome. I really like Dr. Crimes professional and kind. Thank you Dr.

Awesome lady. She knows her stuff and is advanced and innovative for unusual or more extreme cases which suits me. Unfortunately, I had to use 2 1/2 hours of my vacation time at work for a twenty minute job. (I work ten minutes away.) The staff even asked me to come in earlier which was okay until I had to wait an hour and a half to see her. It's all about priorities when you choose a doctor.

I will continue to see her but I do miss my 20-minute appointments from prior dermatologists. Also, staff was great other than a lady prioritizing an incoming call instead of placing them on hold and booking my next appointment -- I had to leave and go back to work.

I do not recommend Dr. Grimes. The receptionist called to let me know my original appointment would need to be moved due to a conflict. I tried calling back to reschedule, and after leaving multiple messages, didn't actually get ahold of anyone until days later. When I went in for my appointment, Dr. Grimes was over an hour late and didn't even remember which moles I needed removed. Also, I was charged a fee for photos and the biopsy, which I was not made aware of at my initial consultation.

A month after my visit I was sent a bill for an exorbitant amount, which again I wasn't aware of. Before my first consultation I even asked multiple times if I would owe anything other than my co-pay, and they assured me my insurance would cover it. The billing department didn't do anything to accommodate the fact that they blindsided me, and so I'm stuck with a bunch of fees I wasn't aware of. As for Dr. Grimes herself, she was rushed and cold with me, and didn't make me feel comfortable during the mole removal. Definitely seek out a different dermatologist.

They are the hardest doctors office to get in contact with that I have ever encountered. There was also a man named Bob? who arrogantly spoke to me as if he ran the place in absence of receptionist but couldn't tell me what his role was except that "I basically run this place". The line is always sent to a 3rd party answering machine (when they aren't on their 2 hour daily lunch). Avoid like the plague if you want accessibility and accountability. Although Dr. Grimes seems very competent she has surrounded herself with a terrible staff.

Dr. Grimes was very professional and warm, just as a doctor should be. She listens and responds so that you understand and are on the same page with her diagnosis. She speaks in an honesty that assures you she is giving you her best in what she is able to do and does not sound superficial with a blown up sales pitch of any kind. Her credentials are high and now I know why. I feel safe and trust her to do the job she's been gifted and trained to do.

Dr. Grimes has been my dermatologist for about 20 years. I've had many issues and she has treated each and every one of them effectively. She is a dermatological detective -- she asks questions until she finds out exactly what she needs to know to best treat you. I was so impressed with her, that I started volunteering for her non-profit that provides dermatogy services to at-risk, homeless, and foster kids. I can't recommend her highly enough. She is an amazing woman and incredible physician.

I was charged an exorbitant amount for a 5 minute consultation about a few facial moles and for a cheap bleach cream. Dr. Grimes came 40 min late to my appointment and treated me rather rudely before she sent me off. Though I had asked to check about my payment (265 for the consultation), the staff had actually overcharged me during the visit and did not check!

On the upside, the staff was very courteous and tried to be as helpful as possible. My request to the doctor is to consider how ethical it is to overcharge a patient when there is no real service rendered. I honestly cannot fathom how the other reviews are five stars.

I had just stopped by Dr. Grimes office for treatment on some age spots. I have one thing to say, BEAUTIFUL! I can see why the doctor is so famous and renowned around her field. Her approach was gentle and did not leave behind any scars or abnormal distractions. She could treat the hands, face, arms, and chest. She is booked for months, but the scheduling desk managed to fit me in on a great time. I also know some friends who have problems with vitiligo, I will definitely recommend them there.

What a fantastic doctor Dr. Grimes is. She is the only dermatologist that has provided me undivided, unparalleled attention. I first came to her office with skin full of acne and experiencing bouts of acute urticarial. She made time to see me quickly and gave me frequent updates on what acute urticarial was. She is a very understanding doctor and really lent her ears to learn more about my problem. Being a patient of hers is one of the best choices I have made for my skin health. I definitely recommend her and her wonderful staff.
