Dental implants are created to supply a foundation for replacement teeth which look and function like natural teeth. The implants themselves are small titanium posts which are inserted into the jawbone to act as tooth root substitutes. Small posts are then attached to the implant which supply stable anchors for replacement teeth.

From Our Website
Welcome to the practice of Dr. Kienle, Dr. Steinkeler and Dr. Gunawardena. Our goal is to provide our patients with a surgical care experience that is beyond the ordinary. Our doctors are unique and highly trained in both medicine and dentistry. They hold degrees from American medical and dental institutions. In addition, they are specially trained to provide fully-monitored general anesthesia in a safe, comfortable and convenient environment for any of your necessary Oral and Maxillofacial surgical needs.
Over time, the jaw bone associated with missing teeth atrophies and is reabsorbed. This often leaves a condition in which there is poor quality and quantity of bone suitable for the placement of dental implants. In these situations, most patients are not candidates for the placement of conventional dental implants. Bone grafting gives us the opportunity to not only replace bone where it is missing, but we also have the ability to promote new bone growth in that location. This not only gives us the opportunity to place implants of proper length and width, it also gives us a chance to restore functionality and aesthetic appearance.
For these reasons and more we have earned a reputation as the premier oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in the Delaware Valley, and have received referrals of patients from doctors across the Eastern region of the U.S. as well as internationally. Our practice and doctors have been consistently named to "Top Docs" and other local and national best doctor polls. To schedule a consult with Dr. Kienle, Dr. Steinkeler, or Dr. Gunawardena, please use our Appointment Request form or call our office in Warminster, PA at Warminster Office Phone Number 215-672-6560.
Yes as long as there are no contraindications like allergic reactions to local anesthesia. Local anesthesia allows you to wake up pain free and reduces the amount of sedation or general anesthesia that is given. It provides a safer and more comfortable surgical experience. Yes, most of the sutures we use are dissolvable. This type of suture is more comfortable and you do not have to undergo uncomfortable suture removal procedures.
