I am writing in regards to the horrible treatment my step-father received from Dr. Bain, and it is important that others know how crass and heartless this man is. My step-father was going to Dr. Bain to help him with a terrible bedsore that he was suffering with, that was not going away. One of his follow up sessions, Dr. Bain came into the room, barely looked at his wound, and said it looked "shitty" and I then asked him how long before it would go away. Dr. Bain then replied, "Until he dies." This is not what you say to a client who is suffering from cancer, and trying everything he can to get better.

And if he did feel it was something he couldn't treat, why would he have him come in for multiple follow up sessions? For money. Plain and simple. I feel someone with this kind of bedside manner should not be able to practice medicine, no matter how much schooling and experience he has received. I hope others do not have to deal with this, and maybe this writeup will help to deter them from going to see such a mean-spirited doctor.

He is such a. do NOT go there. He didn't examine me at all. He was extremely rude with no bed manners whatsoever. He yelled at me and basically took off.

I recently took a friend of mine to the ER and was referred to Dr. Bain for a wound. To say this doctor has absolutely no bed side manner is an understatement. He treated my friend the first time and came across very to the point and unfriendly. His kind nurses do the majority of he work in that office. The second and last visit consisted of him coming into the room, not remembering why my friend was there, looking at the wounds and then saying your healed and walked away.

He did not given my friend any recommendations on preventing the issue from occurring or anything. No thanking her or wishing her well. He was in the room for 30 seconds. He was extremely rude. I can't believe how he treats his patients. The nurses rock though. So sweet and caring.

Dr. Bain is a bombastic, condescending man. He may have a great deal of medical knowledge, but it would be impossible to benefit from that while also reeling from his aggressive, demeaning assaults and uninformed guidance. The hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)that the practice offers may be highly indicated for your wound care. Dr. Bain makes every effort to make sure you utilize every session that your insurance will pay for.

If there is a question about seeking weekend hyperbaric treatment (not offered by the practice) the answer is unequivocally a no (despite the touting of the extreme importance of going to HBOT everyday!). I suggest finding an altetnative doctor run practice with HBOT. My advice is: Do not subject yourself to such uncaring, ego and money-driven and medical care.

I have been to Dr Bain for two different leg ulcers. He has the very best staff. They are knowledgeable and pleasant. It took a long time for those sores to heal. I have another one so will be returning soon. I wouldn't even consider any one else. He knows what to do and even though he has a bit of a dry sense of humor I like him and better yet I trust him.

Dr. Bain treated my elderly father for a skin tear at the Wound Care center. He and his staff were very nice and funny. The jokes made us feel like people in the office like Dr. Bain and it made my dad more comfortable. My dad's wound healed much better than expected.

I just went for a consultation and this man is extremely rude. Did not make me feel welcome. When asked how to prevent cyst from getting worse, he replied, Stop Fucking with it. You are Fucking with it too much which is extremely unprofessional for a doctor. The consultation was all I needed to never go there. One of the worst doctor experiences I've had.

I love Dr. Bain. He's a no bullshit kind of guy. He doesn't try to upsell you anything and he's extremely honest and open. He did my liposuction and my sister's tummy tuck. He is amazing and does beautiful work. Highly recommend him!

Dr Bain is the best! I came in and wanted a tummy tuck. He was very cautious and would not do surgery until he felt my blood work was safe for surgery. I lost some more weight and got my diabetes in check and we were off! I was so scared but trusted him. Is he cocky? Yes! Does he have reason to be? Yes! My surgery went better than expected! He did an amazing job.

While in the hospital one of the nurses told me that Dr. Bain is hands down the best plastic surgeon on staff at Hoag. I could not agree more. He will not do anything he isn't absolutely sure will give the best result. My recovery was easy ready to go back to work three weeks out, but he made me take one more. His staff is amazing so kind and helpful. I will, and have, recommended him to anyone who asks. Thank you Dr. Bain you have changed my life.

Very happy with Dr Bain and his staff; very nice people and really great care. But BEWARE, its Hoag affiliated and Hoag tacks on a facility fee that may or may not be covered by your insurance. It may cost much less to see a physician at a facility not affiliated with Hoag (or any other hospital). The facility fee is a surcharge for the facility and equipment necessary for the treatment of serious wounds. However, if your simply being seen by a physician in an exam room for 5 minutes, its a rip-off.

I have been taking my mother to Dr. Bain for extensive wound care and after visiting multiple doctors over a 3 month period with absolutely no results. Dr. Bain nailed it in the first 5 minutes of our visit. He knows his stuff and his experience shows. He may not be Mr. personality or Mr. nice guy but he is serious about his work and immediately knew what was wrong and exactly how to fix it.

We wasted so much time and trouble on doctors who just had no idea what to do and I can't believe in 5 minutes he had a solution that is actually working! I have not had surgery by him but you can bet when I am ready for any cosmetic procedures, I would trust him completely. He's skilled, professional and has the experience that can run circles around all these other 'Newport Beach' newbie doctors who have to spend thousands of dollars on glossy ads to bring in the patients Dr. Bain gets on word of mouth in a single day.

For the past 3 years I have suffered from a chronic infection and wound to my scalp and head. Over that time, I have been seen by over 40 Doctors who prescribed every possible medication available, all to no avail. I was beginning to believe I would never find a cure. It was affecting my Life - Family, work and I did not feel I had a good quality of life or even hope that I could find a cure.

From the very first day I walked into Doctor Bain's office I was given hope not just from Doctor Bain but also from his wonderful staff. He immediately came up with a game plan and was able to bring the latest and greatest technology to aid my recovery. I am now in the final stages of my recovery and am free from any medications and the wound has closed.

Doctor Bain's work is fantastic and he has been able to help me recover my health and my life. He is meticulous in everything he does and he is the consummate professional, I can only say truly positive things about my experience and I am grateful to the Doctor for helping me get my life back. Years ago, I went to Dr. Bain for a procedure that should have been done correctly the first time. I was not happy with the procedure initially but he insisted to wait till the swelling went down and should I feel the need to come back and redo it, he would at no additional cost as at the time he felt that he made that decision based on his own judgement and not what I wanted.

I should have spoken up for myself and rather than do so I didn't. It's hard for me to say something when you tell someone with a career, the "professional", that they didn't do it right. But that's what I thought the consultation was for? I mean, my fault for not speaking up for myself but I definitely learned my lesson. Personally, I think that if I'm paying you a lot of money for a procedure to be done, it should have been done the correct way and if it wasn't it should have been brought up during the consultation. Although, at the time, he was so attentive and very concerned with his patients that I told myself "wow, this doctor really cares". Well, I moved to Vegas and he kept in contact with me for few months.

After that never heard from him. Now just about a month ago, beginning of November I was going under for a Breast lift/aug with another doctor and reached out to dr. Bain at the same time. Not looking for free services because it was 6/7 years ago that my procedure took place but def wanting to go to him again to redo my procedure considering he had done the first one! Well, I called the first time got a consultation date and couldn't make that date. Called a second time and the receptionist/appt scheduler/front desk woman gave me the runaround. Said that he'd been at the hospital taking over for other doctors and hasn't been in the office AND doesn't know when he'll be back.

Maybe the of beginning of next year. Maybe not. I was a little appalled but said okay I'll call back in a week. Called a third time and now I'm a little pissy with an attitude and spoke with her again. She pretty much told me to go to a different doctor as I told her I wanted to go to him but he's not available to do surgeries and that's money out of their pocket?

I just am baffled at this point. What kind of service is this and the way she made me feel!? What happened the first time? Did they chat it up, he remembered me and was afraid that I wanted to take him up on the offer that HE originally mentioned and said don't schedule her for a consultation and so they've been giving me the runaround? Well, sure feels like it. Anyways, I just paid almost 13K with my doctor for a breast lift/silicone replacement and couldn't be happier. I would have paid double that amount for Dr. Niccole's work. He's the best and I will continue to take my business there.

I had a great experience here today! I didn't have to wait at all, and Dr. Bain was very nice and easy to get along with. His secretary, Sheron was unbelievably friendly. Amanda, the other girl in the office helped set me up in the room and clean my wound. She was very easy to talk to and made sure you were comfortable. The office was very clean and easy to relax in no matter what your situation is. I would recommend Dr. Michael Bain to anyone who needs a plastic surgeon and an expert in wound care!

Had a Miradry procedure done here by Amber Richter and I couldn't be happier I did it. It isn't as painful as people make it out to be, the swelling is more trouble some and annoying than the actual procedure though, plan to not workout for a solid week, maybe two. The results were incredible. Highly recommend this. Can't say enough great things about Amber, she makes the whole thing as pain free, and smooth as possible. She was fantastic. If you are thinking about Miradry, do it, and come here.

Had a bad experience--very rude and condescending as well. I am guessing he has filtered or had Yelp remove the many poor reviews of his business due to the fact all negative reviews mysteriously disappeared and there are several more positive reviews. My opinion is to go elsewhere.

Best decision ever! Dr Bain is very calm, patient and thorough, I immediately knew this was the doctor for me! The day of surgery he comes in with his game face on ready to perform this very important life changing event, I admire his focus and that he was checked in. Aftercare is amazing, Raquel and Amanda in his office are wonderful. Dr Bain even drove to Long Beach to my home when I had a concern to look at me.

What doctor does that now a days? I was so pleased with everything and would HIGHLY recommend him. Never have I seen such overall excellence in an office. I love the way I look and my whole experience was just great! I wish I would have done this sooner. I feel more confident and better than ever. he did a superb job, my scars are barely visible and it's only been a few months. Thank you Dr Bain and staff for changing my life in the most positive way!

Well, as I have been around the cosmetic procedures block a few time, I came here on referral from a friend. I have gotten bad botch jobs from other surgeons and whatnot, however, his staff was very caring, and took the time to give me all of the information I needed so I could make a great decision. I ultimately decided to get my normal botox and juviderm regiment, and they did awesome magic with me.

Yes, I am reviewing a plastic surgeon. No, I did not get a boob job (sorry, breast augmentation or reduction), botox, or tummy tuck (some would say I could benefit from such a procedure). Little did I know, high-end Newport Beach plastic surgeons also work miracles on chopped up hands! So, genius that I am, I chopped the hell out of my hand while cutting firewood on a backpacking trip. Huge, ugly gash on my palm near my thumb.

We bandaged it up and headed for the urgent care. Due to the depth and severity of the wound and risk of infection, they didn't want to close it up right away. My PCP is affiliated with Hoag and has been practicing in Newport Beach for decades, and highly recommended Dr. Bain. A plastic surgeon? WTF? Why couldn't they just stitch me up? A whole host of reasons, apparently!

Potential muscle and nerve damage, risk of infection, potential for bad scarring, etc. So I go. I didn't know what to expect, having never been to a plastic surgeon, but I was impressed. Very nice offices, very friendly staff and a really great nurse. Dr. Bain is a big dude, like me, and immediately reassuring. He has a great manner, and quickly made me feel at ease.

We talked about outdoors stuff while he examined my wound. He explained all the potential issues, told me what his plan was, and closed it up that day. I went back a couple of times for follow-up visits, and now you cannot even see where the wound was! A 2-inch long jagged gash - no scar! I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Bain's calm, professional demeanor and sense of humor.

I am frankly blown away by the lack of a scar - I almost feel cheated out of a BS knife-fight story to tell my kids! In all seriousness, I highly recommend Dr. Bain and his practice. I decided to do a Yelp review because the experience was so unusual in today's health care environment - personal experience, no rush, genuine care for my concerns, a sense of humor, and a very positive result.

I've been seeing Dr. Bain since 2007 and have had nothing but wonderful results. He's diligent, professional, to the point and errs on the side of caution. He isn't one of those doctors who takes your money and then does whatever you ask. He always gives me recommendations and tells me what he thinks will or will not work. He even saved my little sister's life when another doctor badly screwed up her surgery. She had seroma and didn't know it. He took great care of her calling her and making sure she was ok. I have great respect for Dr Bain.

If you are in the process of researching cosmetic surgery, definitely make an appointment for a consult with Dr. Bain. Dr. Bain has performed two surgeries/a total of 4 procedures on me, the most recent being in April, 2012, and I am completely satisfied with the results. Despite having had 4 procedures., I am NOT your stereotypical OC woman; I didn't want to look unnatural or plastic.

I just wanted to look as good as I felt, you know? Dr. Bain does not perform Orange County, cookie-cutter surgery; he is gifted at knowing what will work/look best for each patient. For instance, I am a control freak who always thinks she knows best (yes - even when it comes to surgery.), and I wanted a more drastic eye lift than what he planned. Dr. Bain stuck to his guns, and even without yet being completely healed, I know he was absolutely correct.

He is a technically gifted surgeon as well; recovery has been a breeze both times with NO complications. My only complaint is the mandatory, essential, rest that is really frustrating for a person who normally races around at 200 mph! I've learned to completely trust Dr. Bain's experience and talent, and I have never been disappointed. I've promised my husband "No more!", but should I need just a pinch in the future, it'll be back to Dr. Bain for sure!

One last thing: He has an incredible support staff/team; they are helpful, sweet, knowledgeable, and above all, PATIENT with the thousands of questions I had before and after my surgery! They readily take my calls, answer questions thoroughly, and understand the sometimes fragile psyche of one who is embarking on cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Bain and his staff were a dream come true when it came to my Breast Augmentation. In the land of Cosmetic Surgery, my head was spinning. Luckily, a friend recommended Dr. Michael Bain! From scheduling pre-op appointments to the day of the surgery, his friendly staff took care of all my questions and needs. Dr. Bain knew exactly what I was looking for, and knew what would look good on my frame.

I was afraid of going too big or too small, but he was very knowledgeable about which choice would be best. I am very happy with my results and would recommend Dr. Bain's services to any of my close friends and family.
