Center For Natural Breast At the Center for Natural Breast Reconstruction, we know that women's bodies and emotional selves are inextricably linked. There isn't a question we haven't been asked; nor a concern we haven't helped women and their loved ones manage. From financial questions to intimacy issues, we're here to help. If you have been told you must sacrifice any of your important muscles to have breast reconstruction, you owe it to yourself to seek an additional opinion. If you have had implant reconstruction, radiation, and problem with your results, natural tissue reconstruction may be a very good solution.
Services
We're dedicated to ensuring women are offered all possible options of breast reconstruction when facing mastectomy. While our practice emphasis is on reconstruction utilizing your own tissue, we believe it is our responsibility to provide information on all options available, allowing women to make a smart informed choice as to which method they feel is best for them.
Dr. Craigie and Dr. Kline have been operating as a team for 20 years. Both are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Our patients receive the highest quality care from our dedicated office and hospital team members. We maintain an over 99% success rate for our microsurgical breast reconstruction procedures.
Our practice specializes in muscle sparing breast reconstruction such as the GAP, PAP, SIEA, and DIEP flaps. Through microsurgery, our skilled surgeons are able to harvest healthy tissue from one part of a woman's body and reattach it to the breast area. Through the careful process of attaching blood vessels, microsurgery allows patients to have natural looking breasts made from their own, living tissue.
The DIEP flap is the most popular type of perforator flap reconstruction due to it's high success rate and it's ability to reconstruct the breast without the patient having to sacrifice much needed abdominal muscles. The principle behind all microsurgical breast reconstruction is similar; the tissue to be used for breast reconstruction is isolated on its blood supply, and with the assistance of a microscope, reconnected to blood vessels in the chest. The most common donor site is the abdomen, referred to as DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) breast reconstruction.

I can think of no other place I would recommend for reconstruction after a mastectomy- or for any cosmetic procedure. The counsel they gave, the care from Dr. Craigie and every member of his team, and the way they have answered every single question or concern- no matter how small or silly - has been second to none. It is worth every mile I drive from Augusta, GA to Charleston, SC, and I will continue to make this drive for years to come for every future procedure I may need. I love this office and every member of the team so!

Highly recommend Dr. Craigie, Dr. Kline and their associates and staff. They are all very knowledgeable, kind, caring, and responsive to the needs of their patients. Dr. Craigie was my Dr. My surgery was 4 1/2 years ago. I am on yearly follow-up right now and the entire office staff welcomes me when I come in each January. They are the best!
