A series of sutures, woven through the deep fibrous layer of the face known as the SMAS, are tightened to enable volume restoration of the cheeks and improvement of the nasolabial folds, jowls, jawline, and neck. The Fraxel® laser is an innovative, non-surgical modality that improves wrinkles, lightens dark pigmentation, and diminishes acne and surgical scars with minimal downtime. Collagen within the deep layer of the skin is thickened to improve skin tone and firmness and to diminish pore size. The face, neck, chest, and hands can be safely treated with this light energy-based technology. A series of four monthly treatments with short-term redness and swelling over 2-3 days or a single deeper treatment with 5-6 days of healing are utilized.
