We accept numerous health insurance plans for medically necessary Dermatologic services. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by health insurance and payment is required at the time of service or treatment. HMO's require referral, and it is the patient's responsibility to obtain one from his or her primary care physician.
Our experienced and professional staff, which includes board-certified dermatologists, understands that service is a significant factor of effective health care. We are able to provide a wide range of in-house, personalized treatment solutions for all of our patients. At our practice, high-risk skin cancers can be treated with a Mohs micrographic surgery, a skin cancer treatment that is effective at removing cancer cells microscopically.
This non-surgical approach to aesthetic surgery facilitates the correction of facial thinning by augmenting the volume of muscles with fat, which restores a youthful look. This safe procedure using local anesthesia, involves moving some hair from hair-bearing portions of the head and implantation of these hairs to the bald or thinning portions of the head.

Don't be distracted by the two negative reviews. Obviously these were some impatient patients with no patience. Things happen and sometimes you have to wait. That's what happens with people now adays, they believe they are the most important people around.

Waited 1 hour 45 minutes only to walk out. I had other appointments and commitments that I had to make. Other patients were waiting just as long as I was. Even if I decided to stay, I was getting hungry because the wait was cutting into my dinner time. I'm sure if I didn't walk out, my office plants would eventually die off from lack of water due to me still having to wait.

Been going to Dr. Balin for a few years now, I have been treated with respect and have been amazed by the outcome of every surgery I had. I highly recommend going to see him.

1.5+ hour waits for at least 3 appointments now. Complete disrespect for patients' time. It's too bad because the office is less than 5 min from my home. I will be looking for a new dermatologist in the area.

Best dermatologist ever! He is absolutely thorough, careful, cautious and extremely professional. I've gone to other doctors for screenings and after quick glances. they say, ".all is OK". Go to Balin, he finds an overlooked melanoma. Yes, you do wait. but for the correct diagnosis, you have to.

Absolute joke. This doctor is the the worst part of the medical industry today and the root of all its problems. $475 for a medical marijuana certification? Do your research people, that's over 300% more than almost anywhere else, even in the city! He's using people's medicinal needs as a cash grab for himself and taking advantage of the scarcity of doctors in the county administering certifications.

At least at that rate offer a discount for the men and women who put their lives on the line for your ability to try to scam these patients. I hope this man can sleep at night knowing he's taking advantage of patients in a market that is already being treated as a cash grab for people that are looking for an alternative to opioids and narcotics in most cases.

Update, have still tried to have scar repaired without success. Other plastic surgeons have questioned why he cut vertical rather than horizontal. HE'S A BUTCHER! Another thing I forgot to mention was how he tried to get me to make an appointment with his wife who works in the same building to try laser treatments. More money for him!

You guys would get a goose egg review if I could. I did not see a Dr. here. I sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours and there were people who sat there longer. I eventually got up and left. Those in the waiting room said this is normal for this practice. I can't believe people return here regularly. The doctors could be great (I wouldn't know), but they are responsible for how the office runs.

I find it to be incredibly disrespectful to waste people's time like this. They either need to take in less patients or stick to their appointment times. If you're always 2 hours late, just tell people to come in 2 hours after their appointment. I took a day off work for this appointment. That costs me money. Still worth it to walk out on these people. It would be the same story every appointment.

Waited over 2 hours for doctor to see me! Terrible! They kept telling me he'll be right with you which was a lie. Find it so disrespectful of my time! If he needs longer apt windows so people don't have to wait as long then he should do that! So ridiculous. Waited so long in office and no one cared. Apt at noon and didn't get seen until after 2pm.

No question about it, D. Balin is a superb dermatologist. BUT going to see him is an enormous frustration! Today I arrived for my 2:00 PM appointment fully aware tha I wouldn't see him until 3:00 PM. However, when his 1:30 patient was told that at 3:30 PM that there were four patients ahead of her, and the 1:00 PM patient was still sitting quietly in the waiting room.

We all revolted and left! Scheduling has always been a problem with this office, but now it is beyond tolerable. That a patient would have to wait more than 2 hours with no explanation as to why there is such a back up, and this happens regularly, it is unacceptable. After 20 years as a patient of this practice and having always to deal with this kind of over scheduling, I left asking for my medical records to be sent to my primary Doctor so I can choose a new dermatology practice.

I have been seeing his wife many years and when it was to hard to get a appointment with her because she was pregnant I changed to him and have been happy with him. To me if you have to wait for a Dr. there is a reason. I have a heart Dr that you wait at least 2 to 3 hours for but he is the best. So the saying goes if you have to wait maybe it is worth it. If you are a impatient person don't make appointment.

Arrived at 5:45 for a 6 o'clock appointment and was kept waiting until 7:45 before I finally left. The only reason this awful doctors practice gets a star is because the receptionist apologized and gave me my co-pay back. I should have read the reviews here before making an appointment. In the waiting room they have a small sign that encourages patients to buy snacks from their lounge if they get hungry while waiting.

They also apparently sell eggs from "Balin Farms" at the counter too which is a little too weird in a dermatologists office. Do the eggs take 2 hours to cook? Such a bad place it borders on comedy. If you value your time don't go here!

If you want to wait for FIVE hours just to be seen.go for it! (Yes, minimum wait time is THREE hours) The only reason why he is getting one star is because of the staff at the front desk. I feel bad that she had to deal with all of the complaints that came her way. Ridiculous! Don't go if your time is precious. There are many other Doctors that are just as good but respect YOUR time!

All you need to know about my experience is that I wrote a truthful review and was sent a cease and desist letter from Dr. Balin's lawyer. That will give you a hint.
